Is it possible for both teams to lose a final?

Disappointingly Spuds and the filth both won their semi-finals.

Which means one of them will qualify for the Champions League next season.

On their season performance, this is a travesty of football integrity. Neither of them deserve to be in next seasons Elite European competition at all.

If the Europa qualification to the UCL was supposed to be there to promote the likes of Glimt or Bilbao or a Brighton, Brentford level clubs to the top table of European competition and give them a chance to rub shoulders with the big boys, earn the big bucks then great. When it doesn't work is when it's corrupted by a failed bloated corrupt organisation backdooring their way in.

I'll be hoping for the impossible - A spuds win.
Lesser of two evils, as much as I loath them, absolute, nothing club. It will be funny to see them mug their neighbours off, 'The Specialists in failure' and fellow filth cartel member the Gooners.

I'll be so disappointed if the filth win. Spuds win, Ange stays. He'll be crowing 'I always win silverware in my 2nd season'. The Spuds board will stick with him.

Another take from yesterday - apparently you can field reserve team and still win the match in Conference League semi-final stage.

As the things stand, it looks like PL teams will bully european sides in Europa and Conference Leagues for upcoming years.

Although, we might see the likes of Milan and Dortmund in it next season

Everything UEFA does to try and manipulate things English teams due to the share of wealth/revenue among the Prem teams are just too powerful.

Even a club like Brentford would win the Conference league. The level of teams the English clubs face in that competition are basically bottom of the table Championship top of league 1 teams. Shocking.

Europa League, now the 3rd place KO's from the UCL don't drop down, is a far less competitive competition. The over all level is far weaker and once again falls into the hands of the strong Prem teams. Teams finishing 6th - 8th this season are gonna be two of Villa, Forest, Chelsea.

Villa played UCL this season, Chelsea are former UCL winners, Forest are also a former Cup Winners Cup winner.

That's heritage to quote Mourinho.

This seasons semi finals is Bilbao, great club but not the powerhouse Basque force they used to be & Glimt, a club that 6 yrs ago was in the 2nd division of Norway's domestic leagues. That's the level we're talking about now that the UCL is expanded.

The Likes of Seville, Valencia, Napoli, Atalanta etc, all Europa League stalwarts are now UCL teams.

The new UCL format has mate the Europa League less relevant & diluted it's relevance.

It's a much easier competition to win these days. Should we compete in it I've no doubt we'd face another English team in the final and beat them.

I'd like to think despite my Geordie Loyalty and Bias that I am a true fan of the sport and the integrity of the competition is domestically and continentally is of paramount importance.

As mentioned of the two, I'd prefer that Spurs win it. As they are a complete joke. It will window the failure specialists right up and sink the filth further into financial troubles.

If Manure win, then they'll be able to do so much more with the CL money than Spuds will.

Yeah it really is a disappointing. However, it just shows you the levels of quality of English teams v European clubs. Our 15th and 16th placed teams are better than every other Euro qualified team.

The power of the Premier League is justified, the English Pyramid is unrivaled.
