Lol, I've just been reading where Frog says Matt's happy with the young squad he's got.
He's got to say that. Let's see how it all converts on the pitch and the results he gets from them all.
It's a very brave move to tone down the age bracket as much as he has in his first season, I truly hope it all goes well for Matt. The negative in me says he's had no option but to go down this route due to the reduced budget he's been offered.
All I see at the minute is a climb down from Tony Stewart and this may well be his final year in charge. I recall him saying he's here to the the end but somehow I can't see that and he'll sell up with Richard not in the slightest interested in football.
I'll be the first in the queue for a slice of humble pie if Matt pulls it off and does unbelievable things with this squad. At the moment we are 4 days away from our first pre season friendly and still don't have a full squad!
It's going to have to be an amazing next 3-4 days to show any vast improvement to the team. I know there are enquiries ongoing but these need converting quickly in order to assemble a more stronger spine throughout the team. Evans was quick but this has been very bloody slow.
Early days yet Brin, early days
However we finished 13th last season, very much mid table
The signings so far both player and managerial dont look out of place for mid table again
But you never know
Bottom end for nxt season methinks and possible relegation.
Must be smallest squad in leaugue 1 ???
A couple of injuries an Woody might b back
Grist, if we end up mid table and considering the meagre offering of a budget Matt has been handed then so be it, that will be an achievement in itself. Stewart better beware though, he may well create a monster in Matt, and I mean that in the nicest way, in that he does very well on such a small budget and other Chairmen/women come knocking for his services.
All our fans ask for is that our team puts in 100% and attempts to win games through good entertainment. Overall, I feel we are looking at a wind down from Tony Stewart in order to sell up. Get the bottom line in as close order as he can, making it a viable purchase to others to buy into. He has done us immensely proud but I think he's now had enough so time to move on.
The super computer is predicting 21st so relegation.
We will exceed all expectations in League Two 2026/2027 Season. The writing is already on the wall.
No chance we go down. Still a dull season mind.
The facts suggest relegation...losing arguably the three best players we had - Hump, Oddofin and Wilks and not replacing them from a lower midtable team only spells one thing.
Hamshaw is trying to make out that the kids, and the failed kids, can replace these is a joke. He will be sacked by November throught no fault of his own.
TS will then push Woody into the chair and we will go down. TS will then hand over to RS.
