An outsider's view...
From Facebook:
All three promoted sides may be thriving this season, but Burnley's start is actually much better than it reads on the eye.
Despite an incredibly tough run of fixtures, the Clarets still sit 16th - five points above the drop zone. They've already got away trips to Man City, Man United, Spurs and Aston Villa out of the way, as well as hosting reigning champions Liverpool. That's five out of the top 8 in the league, losing to Arne Slot and Ruben Amorim only due to last minute penalties.
Yet when they haven't been playing the toughest teams on paper, they've consistently picked up points. High-flying Sunderland were brushed aside 2-0 at Turf Moor; so were Leeds. Winning at Wolves too in the last minute showed the intent of defeating relegation rivals, putting the home side well in the mire in the process.
The recruitment has also been spot on. Quilindschy Hartman has the joint-most assists in the league with 4 from LB. Kyle Walker and Martin Dubravka add masses of top-flight experience to the team. Florentino Luis has played seasons in the Champions League.
After such tough spells at Bournemouth and Fulham, Scott Parker should be given praise for how he has conducted business so far this campaign. #BurnleyFC
Food for thought eh guys?
