NUFC vs Everton
Right then, this team selection is going to be interesting.
Currently, our best 11 for this game would be:
Ramsdale
Hall, Botman, Thiaw, Tino
Joelinton, Tonali, Bruno
Murphy, Woltemade, Barnes
There's an argument for Burn ahead of Botman in terms of how far off his usual levels Botman has been but Pope needs dropping.
I know he's done well in games but that's his job...to stop the ball going in. The problem is he's started actually costing us goals-4 in the last 3 away games. And when you have a replacement who is just as good but has better distribution...well...
Anyway...

I dont think changing the odd position will make a huge difference. There seems to be a mental problem with our away performances and thats what needs addressing. We keep going ahead then losing.
Id be looking to play the mentally strong players, Burn is one, Trippier another.
-
im not overly confident on this game Zip.
Hopefully the Mackam will lose his head again.
My youngest is 6 years old and said to me, "dad our season never starts until December" he might have a point.
Personally im at the point where im fed up of Eddies loyalty. Dont get me wrong
I love Eddie to bits but he has got to the point where he needs to take the next step to become an elite manager
and make ruthless decisions regardless of who he upsets.
We all knew Dan Burn was going to get sent off, we all know Pope has ****ed up 3 times and led to defeats,
we all know Gordon is NOT a striker and is not undropable, We can all see the pressing is not there anymore and we need to
get back to when we beat PSG so convincingly. We have players like Ramsey and Elanga who have cost close to 100m
who dont get a game and still using players that Rafa brough in.
We started the season with the overwhelming thought that we would be top of the league if we kept Isak,
the performances were simply lacking a striker. Liverpool, Villa, Leeds, Barcelona and Arsenal would have all been beaten
if we had a goal scorer.
What im trying to say in a long winded way is the players dont have any repercussions when Eddie sacrifices results
in vein of upsetting players.
I want a change on the pitch and it needs to be now. No more nice guy Eddie, we need results
sorry for the rant but im more than ****ed off with this season

No, you put your point fairly, man.
I like TT's point about strong mentality so wouldn't mind Burn for Botman but I think we absolutely have to start Tino and Hall.
The lack of press, I just don't get.
-
Can see Burn coming in for Schar as Howe will want to shoehorn him in the starting 11 some how buti it would not surprise me one bit if he starts at left back, Thiaw and Botman were forming a great partnership untill the west ham and Brentford debacle but you couldnt really blame either of them. Pope has to be dropped Ramsdale is a much better overall goalkeeper, I would imagine Barnes starts again but we really need fresh ideas on the right wing Murphy out and Elanga in its the only way he will get going again give him a run of starts and see what happens, Ramsey for Joelinton as well. the line up announcement later will be very interesting,
-
I agree...I think Elanga will get confidence from starting and I think lack of confidence is what's holding him back.
We know he's not as poor as the start he's had would suggest. He's a good player adjusting to a new system who is bang out of form.

Well, that isn't the line-up I was expecting.
Very good to see Ramsdale in. Burn at CB seems a decent pick as well.
Miley & Elanga starting down the right wing raised my eyebrows a bit, mind.
Should be interesting.....
-
Pope not even on the bench so is Ramsdale only playing because Pope is injured ? Tonali only a sub hope he is ok.
-
Ah, hadn't spotted Pope missing entirely. Never mind, if Ramsdale has a really good game he should be the man in possession (?)
I guess Tonali just being rested - need to rotate the squad
