Just throwing this out there.
Despite saying it is not the case, I think Phil Smith could be the next owner of the Millers.
He wants to bring his own manager in once he has taken over.
He is supporting Hammy as manager because sacking him might mean appounting an interim manager which could mess up Phil's plans as well as being a drain on finances

I would imagine even if this were true it won't be happening anytime soon,so I don't think Hamshaw's situation will have owt to do with it.

Firstly, it's not like he'll have insider agreements to bring Pep or Klopp in, he won't have those connections.
Secondly, no sane person would hold off on a deal running into eight figures because there may/may not be compensation running into a few coppers and a tub of Twiglets on the horizon.
