It definitely sticks out along with a few others. It has an air of Calderwood about it, but worse.
I hope they didn't have to give him a pay off.

Never looked like he was anywhere near good enough to play for us.
Sorry that he's had a tough time and all that, but couldn't see him ever becoming a player for us so best to cut our losses. I'd be gobsmacked if he was on anywhere near £5k a week - I'd have guessed half of that at most.
It's odd that he was in Dubai with the rest of the team.
Precisely. The club will have to realise that if you have a fund raiser like DNA then serious questions will be asked when cash is outlayed on players that prove to be awful or in this case have their contracts torn up.
Saying all of that and taking into account all the garbage spouted on here about McInnes being thick, there is no way is he going to waste £200k on a player who was not up to it. Seems he was on his radar a few seasons previously but had gone off the boil a bit. I do however remember reading some of the Posh forums at the time and Forrester was definitely not mentioned in the same way Considine or Cosgrove are discussed on here and had been a stand out on several occasions last season.
There is more to root causes than just blaming the manager.
An absolute terrible signing. The guff coming out of McInnes mouth about him being a game changer who could earn us the 3 points in tight matches was astonishing. He was dreadful and clearly was out his depth and that takes some doing in our league.
