It will be undisclosed of course but if its less than 500k would be a travesty. I think it will be more than a bit of cash but the lack of investment into the squad as it stands is a worry. I assume the Williams money was used to build the Nest and get jatta.
I couldn't disagree more. I'm pretty confident you wouldn't have had a clue who Crowley was before we signed him. The owners have shown time and time again, that they know how to get value when signing players. The last thing i want to see is a player of his talent walking for free next summer, which i'm certain would happen whether we were promoted or not. We can't have another Rodrigues situation imo.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again they’ve spent 20m already, they’re under no obligation to spend everything they get back asap.
I think Nemane to MK could possibly turn out to be brilliant business if Grant turns out a key player for us. I liked Nemane but he was part of our defensive problems, he’s not a wingback.
As for Crowley that would be a massive blow and we haven’t got a replacement for him. Langstaff I saw differently as I think Jatta was always the insurance for that happening.
Less than a year on his contract and he doesn't want to stay what can the board do? If he wants to go to a club that has new owners who (on paper) are showing ambition in a players eyes who can blame him? It's all well and good saying we are taking a slow and steady approach but how slow is slow and when will they resist the temptation to sell?
We have a great set up now and some very good people working here
I just think we've been a bit complacent with Crowley
