Your post reminded me he'd gone missing. He always pops up on here when Fword have lost to try to stop people talking about them, that's probably why we haven't seen him for a while.

I’ll take the point today, but the injury problems are a bigger concern. Jatta has missed more games than he’s played, ditto Scott Robertson. Gordon has barely featured, McDonald has yet to play a league game and lord knows how long JJ will be out for. Edwards’ energy is a big miss in midfield as well. Add in Cedwyn Scott being on the sidelines and I’m struggling to remember us having so many problems so early in the season.
I was called all sorts for saying we needed another out and out striker, we're down to one now with Scott and Jatta out... Brown can play as a striker but is more of a winger or wide forward but that squad depth isn't looking great when we draw to Morecambe who are an absolute basketball case of a club
If I hadn't seen they were bottom two I wouldn't have thought they were based off that performance. Static defending for their goal but it gave them a lift and Dackers looked quality. Definitely wouldn't mind him for us.
Could've won it with the McGoldrick shot he put wide before his clearance but I'll take a point and will be a decent one if we back it up with another 4/6 next week.
Kairo Mitchell got his 8th in his last 6 games for Rochdale today. Doing well.
How many strikers can we have when we play one up front? Yes we’re short we’ve lost 2 players in one position, same as anywhere on the pitch. If you accept Jatta and Mcgoldrick are decent at this level, then who comes in to sit on the bench as 3rd / 4th choice? I’d love us to have more firepower but it’s unrealistic with one No 9 position to have a proven striker 3rd or 4th in your ranks.
Look at the prem too which has gone the same way, not many proven no9s on the benches. Arsenal haven’t got one in the first team, neither have Spurs, argument Utd havent one either in the starting 11 and city have Harland, after him not much as the other lad left cos he didn’t get the game time, that’s the downside of playing one up front.
Five of the eight teams they've played so far are currently in the top 8 and none lower than 15th, so it could be that the fixture list has given them a tough start at a time when they were still trying to get back on their feet after a nightmare summer. They might not be as bad as we think. Time will tell.
Yeah that would have probably been ideal but at the same time difficult to get to. You can play 2 up but we don’t very often. I think the bigger issue probably is the question over Scott? Is he good enough? I don’t know the answer, but conceivably even one up front if we had Jatta and Didzy, no Scott, you could go out and tempt a lot a of strikers with the promise of decent game time.
