In those type of circumstances rufc might agree to pay the difference between his millers salary and his new lower pay for the remainder of his contract with us. At least it gets him off the squad list and someone else subsidises his large salary
As someone else has mentioned other clubs might not want some of our players. They might refuse to leave if kids are settled and house bought in sy
For example Bola has struggled to get a start in a div 4 team
Washington has a young family and moved to the area. Wouldn’t blame him if he ran down his contract if not wanted.
It's all very well telling contracted players they ain't good enough and they need to go.It's easier said than done.Eves will go nowhere for anything less than he's on now. He's 31 with 2 years left.Washington has another year,McCart has another 2 years. Like many have said on here, if Washington is not deemed even worth a squad position next season God know's the quality of player MT expects to be signing this Summer. Bold statements and strong intentions are one thing, backing them up is another.I trust MT knows what he's doing, for his sake more than mine!
flour, I was discussing Eaves' contract with my Son and what was left on it. He mentioned that Eaves could still leave and TS would have to pay a possible part of his contract for him to retain his current wage deal. The same would apply to Washington and whoever else if Taylor wants them out.
That in itself will restrict Taylor with his budget so some sweet talking may have to take place. I can see another Danny Schofield scenario happening which ain't a good thing because if they refuse to move on, it impacts our squad size numbers and Taylor may be backed into a corner he may not like.
Yes ive thought that we’ve not really given him a fair chance
But if he is one of the players on MT’s hit list and he sees him in training at lot more than we do then I’m happy for the Decision to be made
MT knows a lot more about players than I do and maybe Matt thinks his previously good standard in the cship isn’t there anymore
