Here we all are again, except Chalky’s away until next year so I’ve taken him off the table for now. I had a fantastic holiday, thanks for asking.

Pete did best this week with a nice 7, and that lifts him up three places to 9th. Cayambe only got 1. Otherwise, pretty much as we were, except that Kel has been quietly slipping back up the tabke* and is now in joint first.

The gaps are getting bigger and points are hard-earned this season. Time to step it up lads.

Pete and Howoldboy top-scored with 6s this week which reflects the fact that they were the only ones to get a score right. 56 shots, only 2 on target, maybe I’m making this too hard? Pete also top-scored last week and 8th seems a bit of a poor return for that effort. Average score was 3.4 which is poor even by our standards. Howoldboy was the only significant mover - up 2 places to second.

Kel only got 1.

This was the table this time last year.. I had been top for a while until Howoldboy knocked me off my perch..

Scores are not that much lower tbh Griff & same old for Cayambe battling against the wooden spoon 😎




Scores are worth three points and it follows that it’s great to bag a couple. This week Frank was the only person to get one and he ended up as top-scorer with seven. Well done Frank, you’re up two places to third. If you can’t get correct scores it’s nice to get your results right. Howoldboy got six out of eight (nice work) which puts him back on top. Davee and Claw only got 2s but it’s better than nowt.

On the maybe I’m making this too hard comment, sometimes I used to ask Mrs BDB to pick the games for the following week or ask for people in the league to pick instead of me..

Have checked club websites & Sky Bet, all seem to be on & avoided the early kick off

Blackdogblue chose the fixtures this week, so how did that go? Well, a bumper harvest for some but slim pickings for others.

Quite a few honourable mentions. Howoldboy got all the scores correct and two of the results and ended up with a remarkable 14 points. As 16 is the highest possible score that really is something so well done and you’re on top of the table. Blackdogblue was also in double-figures with a splendid 10 which would be brilliant most weeks but he stays put in 5th place. Doesn’t seem fair really. Nobby and Frank got seven out of eight possible outcomes correct, so well done them also.

Kel only got 3, lowest scorer the second week running.

Mullen is down three spots and Kel two. Alf and Nobby are both up two otherwise not much movement.

Any more volunteers to pick the games?

Having 7/8 on my acca would have had me punching the cash out button on Sky bet..

On the plus side, I was 11 off the top last week & now 12 which could have been worse & oh dear… less mentioned the bottom still the better 😎
