This is what I?m on about being in the this shyte Goldilocks zone
Robinson would undoubtedly finish above the pish in our league given the budget. Just like McHunnis & Calderwood did before
Would I want him at Aberdeen? Not a f*cking chance

I think you mentioned on another thread about who we could get in if Thelin was to go.
Maybe you were joking but if Thelin ends up being the 4th manager to not last more than a year for the 4th year in a row I think we are going to struggle to get anyone decent in.
Managers in a job will look at whats gone on in the last 5 years and think its not worth the risk taking the job because there is an extremely high chance that they wont last a year.
You then have your out of work managers in the spfl merry go round as the only ones willing to take the job.
I really hope Thelin manages to turn this around like he did at his previous clubs but he needs to start winning games soon.

If this appointment doesn?t work out and we do go back down the route of a proven manager in this league that plays pish football but gets results because the players bought are marginally better than the other teams outside the cheeks then for me I will find it harder to give a ****.
Was bored rigid last year of McInnes reign and less said about Goodwin / Robson the better.
The problem is as Mason and others have pointed out is philosophy is fine, but when it isn?t working you need to change it.
Simple ball behind the full backs that are high up the pitch and we are struggling. Or just kick it straight down the middle ?.
The game that really irritated me was Kilmarnock away when first 20 minutes just had to make it tight and grow into the game as our poor run was stretching then.
But no, same formation, players out of position and caught on counter early doors
Heads go down and ship 3 more
Last Scandinavian coach insisted on playing 4-3-3 - as much as I liked Ebbe it didn?t work well to be so rigid in formation
I just hope Peter Leven is telling Jimmy to reassess his ?philosophy ?
I think what you are referring too is a reply to a RJ post about getting shot of Thelin.
What I said was I don't want Thelin gone as we end up with a Robinson type manager who gets found out in a short while.
The St Mirren fans probably loved that game yesterday, but imagine watching a team as shyte as that week after week. No thanks.
We haven't won in the league for nearly three months and yet still only two points off third. Which highlights the standard of our league and why I don't want a Robinson type appointment anytime soon.
I really hope that our form turns and turns soon as the season is still very salvageable.
At what point to we decide to ditch Thelin?
Do we give him 2 more matches and then decide he isn?t worth continuing with or do we wait until the end of the season and hope he can somehow change the disaster happening in front of our eyes.
2 more matches is more than enough and I am being extremely generous. There is nothing I see on that pitch with that squad and tactics that makes me think it?s worth waiting as things are improving. It?s the opposite as we are getting more easily beaten as the weeks go by.
For me, and I can hardly believe I'm saying this based on my thoughts on previous managers, I would keep faith as long as we don't go down as far as 11th or 12th and we avoid relegation or play off places.
We have to try for once to burst through the other side with a manager, that's not to say we were too quick to get rid of Robson or Goodwin etc, I just firmly believe that Jimmy has more about him than what came before him and he deserves a real opportunity to get HIS squad on the pitch.
I think Jimmy has been saddled with far too many sub-standard players with a weak mentality and until they get flushed out then Jimmy is pissing into the wind. To do what he did at the start of the season with this group was remarkable which was never destined to last, we are seeing now what these players are actually all about and I can only hope it is the last season we see a large portion of them.
All of that is true. So why does he ask them to play triangles inside their own box at Ibrox? Not to bother to defend set pieces? There?s no doubt he?s inherited some amount of shyte, so why make it more difficult for them?
I get what you're saying about some of the patterns of play and defending etc. but maybe just maybe he has encountered a variation of this struggle with previous teams he has managed and he got through the other side without changing his philosophy for them?
Maybe he thinks that if he changes even just one part of his vision and if that goes wrong then he is admitting to himself that he isn't of strong character and weak minded etc.
You can't expect players to buy into what the manager believes to be the end product if the players see him changing things constantly and 2nd guessing himself? Just a theory.
It may ultimately be his downfall but with the level of managers we've had recently then it's worth a shot to let this guy try even with sh*t players just now as the ones he keeps after the summer will be fully versed on what exactly Jimmy expects of them which can only benefit new signings.
Appointed boss one year ago today.
Article on the BBC website, speaking to Jimmy about his year at the club and about Saturdays semi final.
It's been a very interesting year XD
My first impression of him was that he's a clever guy - I'm sure he's learned loads from his time here, and hopefully he can keep improving us over the next few years.
