But that's what you're doing?! You have absolutely no evidence to say that he has changed and I have none to say that he hasn't. Anyone can do diversity training etc. but in reality it means absolutely nothing. All that matters to me is that this guy had a bad reputation, whether in the past or currently, and I don't want that to be associated with United.
lets be honest not one of us has a scoobie really who will be a success. I am sure Malky has been ruled out now and whilst i dont agree 100% with the outrage on him if Tony decides the issues are too much then agree could do without all the baggage. Micky Mellon all i know about him is he was **** in football manager when i took Blackpool to european glory and premier league dominance. Could i sell the prick mellon , no. He won all these trophies and never played a game. For that alone i am not sure i can forgive him so its a no from me.
No doubt his record down south is good. only won league once. gets teams up via playoffs alot. (nothing wrong with that just stating). imo the teams he has got promoted from the conference into the league system down south are teams who would be expected to be in the league. Fleetwood and Tranmere.
Dont get me wrong if he gets appointed then ill back him but just not keen on it im afraid. like everyone, you get vibes about managers or appointments and this one doesnt give me a good vibe. reminds me of the mixu appointment. :/
Tbh I'm just glad he's not one of the usual journeyman managers on some kind of Scottish football club merry-go-round. I'm also happy we haven't gone for an up n comer like we have done in years gone by. That's another waste of time.
i know people are saying managerial appointments are a risk and they are but some are bigger risks than other, Wright for example is a risk but a lesser risk than mellon
genuine question, do you think TA knows what hes doing with this appointment? we seem to be all over the place? yeah he wants to speak to people, some who are currently in jobs but we seem to be taking a fair bit of time to get this sorted. (time we don't have). Clearly McClaren was his man but after that didnt happen, we seem to have went back to square one. Now we are still speaking to people?!? surely this should have all been done by now? the Wright comment he made aswell?
i hope he gets the right man in but he seems to be unsure of what to do here.
