I suggest life would be a lot easier all round if he said something like I loyve it here and have no plans to leave, but he speaks in cryptic ways that are open to different interpretations. Eg

It's dying a death now, and not before time. On Sky's SS this morning the journos eventually got round to discussing the Everton job, as usual, but this time Sean's name never came up, not once, he wasn't mentioned.
What a mess. Van Gaal says no, they are giving up on Silva. Let’s hope they win tonight to help give Unsworth the job.
