I just hope we get a manager with some experience, but i won't hold my breath, it will probably be another trainee that will take 3 or 4 years to get it right

Ardley doing an Ardley losing the big games.
Glad he didnt take them up to be honest.
Williamson would make a fair bit of logical sense - a manager from the division below winning the title - but the difference between tier 5 and tier 6 must be as big as any between two levels next to one another given that tier 5 is almost all full time professionals whilst tier 6 presumably isn't. If it is to be Williamson and there are numerous examples of other tier 6 managers making the transition to tier 5 successfully then there's good reason to be optimistic, if not then it's another experiment.
Yes lots of teams do, but that's the point I was making above. It may well be 'natural' to sink back and defend a lead, but players have got to show the discipline to resist that urge, because it invites pressure and often leads to goals being conceded late. As Neil Warnock once said to his Sheffield United players in a dressing room dressing down in a TV documentary: "It takes some f*cking b*llocks to say we're not moving, that line's there and we're f*cking stopping!"

He claims he doesn't swear anymore these days! XD
You are either happy with Williamson or you are not if he is appointed...you seem to be edging your bets.
Calling it an "experiment" seems to be the stick to beat our owners with ALL managers are a gamble as you cannot be certain of anything.
I will say it i'd be happy with Williamson he is on the up and has NL experience plus got a promotion which isnt easy.
Every managerial appointment is an experiment really. You can select someone with a long track record of success and plenty of experience in your league and it could still be that they don't 'fit' your particular club, such is the unpredictability of football.
What we can say about someone like Williamson is that he's young, ambitious, and already a title winner only one league below, so he has to be considered a worthy contender, in terms of who we can realistically hope to recruit.
I'll play by my own rules which has the 3rd option of being unsure. I don't know anything about him other than that he's won tier 6 North, which Kings Lynn did before them and Stockport and Salford before that, the latter pair changing manager before going up from tier 5. So based on that, I don't know if he would be the right man or not.
Who would you choose from the realistic options available?
And that's not a question to use in evidence, just a genuine interest in your opinion. My choice for instance would probably be Luke Garrard from Boreham Wood, but there's a lot of names in the mix.
Obviously, if it ends up being a virtually unknown candidate from further afield (like Burchnall was) then we couldn't be expected to comment or guess on that, but let's assume it's someone in the 'known' list.
Just hope the plebs leave the beachballs at home next time.
