Please do not drag me into your debate with another poster on this topic.
It should be stated that everyone living in Scotland pays tax.
However it was recently reported in the press that thanks to people working from home for most of the week some well paid people who work in Edinburgh now live in the North East of England and travel one day a week to work in Edinburgh due to the higher rates of income tax in Scotland compared to England.
That is why the projected annual income from Scottish income tax calculated by the Scottish Government civil servants has been lower than they expected.

I tried explaining to him what a Scottish taxpayer residency status is but he can't seem to grasp the concept, anyway no matter now because he's "out"
