I'm feeling a bit more confident about my 5p on Kate Forbes today.

If nothing else it should see Patrick Harvie and Lorna Slater out of Government (two MSP's that make your average SNP minister look like world beaters)

I can see why Harvie gets on everyone’s tits but he’s nowhere near the worst

I see Kate Forbes has ruled herself out in the running for FM:

SNP leadership contender Kate Forbes does not believe women should be church ministers, according to a letter she wrote in 2014.

The letter stated: "It is a great injustice when we ignore God’s plan for women... His plan clearly states that, specifically within the Church, 'I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man.'"

My understanding is that was a sample of SNP voters (ordinary people) rather than SNP members (in the main - Sturgeonistas). I get it completely why ordinary voters would favour Kate, the $64,000 question is whether the Sturgeonistas would be as favourable to her given the overwhelming support that Humza is getting from SNP MSP's and the exodus from the party of people who would have been more sympathetic to her views on things like GRR
