Well I for one, don't really think football works like that
If I was a cynic. God forbid, I'd say that two teams on 37 points, assuming Everton beat Palace tomorrow...not a given, would treat this game as one of those World Cup group games where a point suits each side nicely thank you.
I hardly ever gamble but I think I'll pop in to Corals tomorrow to get the odds on a 0-0.
Well HamsterCheeks would be delighted with that. Pulis will push for a win and Palace will score.

From the mouths of children Bonzo. from the mouths of children.
You didn't have to have a crystal ball to see what would happen.
Same again next season I'm afraid.
Funny how they can just see through all the bollox.
The game I took her to was against Cardiff where Joe Cole scored and became her favourite player so she was still convinced that he could come on and turn tonights game around with a bit of skill. :)

I like Carroll and I'm sure that fully fit and firing he's a lot better than this... but that said... it would be criminal if he hopped into Rickie Lambert's WC spot now.
Rickie Lambert's world cup spot ? I think Carroll would struggle to replace Ricky f_ucking Gervais.
Your opinion of his is somewhat higher than mine Tone.
;D

Oh dear Tone, that was the worst game of football I've seen in a long time. Half price tickets to academy members for that one and it still wasn't worth it.

couldn't even muster the energy to get out of bed to watch the game. our style is so uninspiring. might also have a little to do with the fact that we are safe.
my other outlet for football entertainment continually comes up with 'cannot reply', so i really wasn't going to have a good start to my day either way. :/
who played well? who didn't?

One day mate, one day.
I know what you mean, my son has not been to a game yet but he's already showing awareness of other lads in his class supporting Arsenal, Chelsea, blah blah blah. . . . .. . . It's imperative that he enjoys his first experience of live footy but I'm worried about taking him and it being dull. It doesn't have to be beautiful, just some end to end stuff will do but if we only spend a quarter of the game with the ball then the crowd will be quiet and we won't attack much.

That and the fact that it was the middle of the night in Ozland ;D
Tomkins played well and Diame, Noncerwotsit, Demel and Jarvis did ok.
Reid, Downing and Carroll were a bit sh1t

cheers mate :D
it kicked off 4:45am here, so it was a lot more desirable than the 1:00am-2:00am i normally get up for.
as said on the downing thread, i'm not so fussed about this game, as i am about the palace game - that's when i would prefer all eleven players firing.
