Also re Frank Vincent, by my reckoning that is now 16 Notts players who have scored for us this season. Only outfield players who haven’t: TAR, CLE, Baldwin, Bostock and Jones. Am I missing anyone?

I thought JB was immense today, he must be the best one touch passer in the league. Also did anyone notice his pass along the goal line between the posts, late in the first half, cool as a cucumber.
Great for Vinnie to score and a fantastic reward for his attitude, after most thought his days at the club were numbered. Credit also for LW to see the potential he has as a LWB. He is a great option when looking to save AN knowing you can put AC on the right side.
A mention also for AM, who made two or three very good saves and whose kicking was only a yard or two too long on quite a few occasions from putting us in. Also think he probably gets an assist for Maccas goal.
There is plenty in that thread that we can take confidence and hope from. Things like fatigue are raised a few times and the back three not being able to handle pace plus talk of their manager getting subs wrong. Halifax giving it a go and coming at them and seeing the fear in the team and criticism about them being slow to move the ball and weak in the tackle. References to their team being a bunch of individuals, how Halifax did not give Mullin space to run into and isolating Barnett and Mendy on the wings. A few posts criticising Foster, Cannon and Mendy being outed as the weak leak. Some have concerns and fears over Barnet and Torquay. Some are dreading Monday.
The crowd are the ones we need to try and get to turn on the team or get restless with them. There will be an air of anxiety and a nervy edge to start with after today's result so it's important we have a good start to the game. The last thing we want is to give them an early lead so the crowd easily forget about today.
Maybe today is a one off for them and it is just a bad day at the office. Or perhaps it could be a case of a long season and all those cup games has now compounded and is beginning to show. Energy could give us the edge.
It literally is a cup final in all but name on Monday. We have nothing to fear.
As others have said JB was excellent but I’ve come to expect it the last few games. I was one that never doubted his ability or that physically he wouldn’t get there but my reservations were would playing in this league motivate him enough or if LW could fit him in, but that’s been answered now.
I said start of the day and last week I expect him to start Monday and JOB too which I think was confirmed with him being on the bench, they’re exactly the sort of players we need for that game.
Wealdstone deserve lot's of credit today. Their fans, staff and players firstly for respecting and joining in with the tributes to Jason Turner, and also for the way they try to play football. It is a style very similar to ours and to say they are one of only two part time teams left at this level (I think?) I thought they gave a good account of themselves. There have been far worse footballing sides to come to Meadow Lane this season, and plenty who have come and just put everyone behind the ball.
Stuart Maynard has done a good job at Wealdstone to have them mid table and even have a chance of finishing in the top ten in what must be one of the smallest budgets in the league. Plus with them being London based and part time in the recent past they have lost some of their better players to full time clubs even ones in this league like Borehamwood for example.
Yep did notice it,I have my earplug in one ear and listen to the Radio when watching the match, they said when he did that ‘The coolest man in Meadow Lane’ with my other ear I heard the gasps as he rolled it across our goal line to Mair who played a one two in his six yard box - crazy 😜
That pass along the goal line was actually the start of a move where we should have scored - can’t remember who missed the chance (Macca?), but it would have been the archetypal Luke Williams Notts goal: from literally on our own goal line to creating a golden chance at the other end.
