Currently each Championship club earns around £4.5million from the Premier League’s broadcast deal, £2.5million from the EFL’s TV deal and extra facility fees based on how many matches are shown per season.
The EFL’s new deal with Sky is also set to hand clubs facility fees based on the number of matches broadcast, although the figure is still yet to be decided.
Overall, Football Insider analysis predicts that Championship clubs will earn around £12million per season in broadcast revenue when the new deal comes into effect.
