If you watch any European football whether it be UEFA Cups you never see underdog teams use that formation and it's for good reason. Underdog teams that go to Ibrox Parkhead even top English grounds in search of a point usually play a flat back 4 with at least a further bank of four in front of that.
I'm scunnered with Clarke, his arrogance has cost us many times.
Not hindsight but I'd have played Tierney at right back in the friendlies and played him there in a 4 last night. Ralston is just not good enough, doubt McCrorie will be either. Gilmour will definitely come back in but if McTominay is definitely fit and only the camp know that either way, I'd take McGregor out. And, after about 2 years Clarke doesn't know his best CB pairing, hasn't chosen two and stuck with them in a back 4 to gain understanding and confidence.
Keeper is no very good, but Clarke won't bin him, probably nobody better anyway.
Re GD, ITV commentator said that it's head to head results that decide not GD but no idea if that's correct.
I was angry as fk watching that and Hungary/Switzerland will have seen we can't cope with players pressing us. I'm expecting 2 more defeats. I think a better coach, a less stubborn coach would get more out of what is a decent squad. Can we find one.
But the SFA will stick with this boring stubborn guy.
