I thought we would lose this game once I saw the starting eleven
But watching the game we definitely looked the most likely to score
I'm a natural optimist and my hope is that with Jatta and Jones due back shortly and Didzy getting up to speed we can have a real go now in the remaining games
Jarvis looked a bit more the part, hopefully the penny has dropped for him
Others are more pessimistic but I prefer to stay on the sunny side
Time will tell
Bradfud Wombles Grimsby all wining.
Walsall v Wombles Crewe v PV next Saturday
3pts a must at Newport
Both Wimbledon and Bradfud winning now...autos drifting further away every week
Since his injury J J in his very few appearances has been a shadow of the player we know he can be. Even if comes back next week I doubt he will be back to his best till next season if he can get back to his best. I hope I am wrong.
Vale have just gone ahead too.
I'd still say that if any one of Wimbledon, Doncaster, Port Vale or Notts can win six of their last eight games then they will get automatic promotion, because so many teams are taking points off each other. Truth be told though, I just don't think we're ready for promotion yet. We were caning the National League in the year we won promotion, but we're not yet 'that' team in League Two.
Port Vale scored pushing us down to 6th!!
That's what promotion teams do, before those crunch games at the end when strange things can happen.
We don't know what our team will do when they 'have to' win games. Find their best? Crumble under pressure? Or same as now, focus on 'performance' and play like the result doesn't matter all that much. We'll start finding out very soon.
