A bit of continuity at least in the short term will be a real bonus because they'll be able to bring MM up to speed on the squad very quickly, and then the new manager can make his own assessment on them. Whether Mellon wants his own assistant(s) longer term we wait and see.
I see this a bit like when Motherwell appointed Robinson. Most people didn't know much about him either.

Not surprised at that at all. Our structure at the moment means this is more likely than it used to be. I don't think Forrest and Neilson knew each other prior to him being appointed?

For the record I am not racist in fact I am probably the blackest fan to have ever followed Utd and have been racially abused even from my own supporters over the years, granted that was late 80's and 90's.
