Can't really use AJ though can you. He officially arrived Feb 1st and we paid for him from a European club that the Bros have infuence in. That move doesn't tick any boxes of Durham's sarky post.

We signed Macari permanently and Robertson last January as well, it was a pretty good window.

Well that myth has been quickly busted.

It’s feels a bit odd to have issue with players who, maybe very rightfully, are deemed ‘surplus to requirements’ at their current clubs as fans of a L2 club.

Plenty of transfers happen as a result of deals going through higher up the chain. Another reason why waiting to do the odd deal late in the window isn’t a bad idea or evidence of ‘poor recruitment.’

A lot of conjecture, but for example, if Milwall continue to hold their current position (8th and within touching distance of the play offs) come January they may think ‘we need another striker or two for a play off push.’ One comes in and a certain striker falls out of favour and maybe even out of the match day squad.

He becomes ‘surplus to requirements’ but probably 48/48 L1 and L2 clubs would be more than happy to sign him…

Robertson has had such a very frustrating season - until you mentioned his name, I’d actually forgotten he is also on the injury list.

Cast your mind back to January when posters were calling for Montague to be sacked after the worst close season ever.. Those are not my comments, but by those who now say differently..
