This is irrelevant. He was offered the chance to fight for a place and declined it. He moved on and so should we.

There will always be the odd player released that eventually moves on to better things. However much people mention one, two or three names there will always be a shed load more that don’t succeed and are forgotten.

Did really well for us, great finisher, on loads of money, wanted similar in National League but not a guaranteed starter under Ardley. We offered him what he was worth to us. Far from being irrelevant, it's pretty much the whole point. Was he offered a decent contract or was he offered a derisory contract?

Move on EP. Sam Osbourne has. It’s irrelevant what he was offered.

If, as suggested by himself, he wanted assurances that he would get regular first team starts/opportunities, the money side of things become secondary. Not totally irrelevant, but very much secondary.

The amount of talk about what we are missing out on now he's tearing it up in the league below I'm beginning to think he was actually a bit of a superstar last season and we've made a massive mistake. Should have kept him and sold Roberts or Enzio.

I wish we talked about Sam half this much when he was playing for us last season :D

Right time to watch live Heavyweight Boxing, should be a good'un.

Scored 2 yesterday the last one of the two was world class apparently, also won national north player of the month for November.
Definitely one that got away that will go on to player higher than Non League Notts unfortunately just like your Gibson and Bishop.

Sold Roberts???? You can’t be serious

I'm not, tongue was firmly placed in cheek for that whole paragraph Warsop.

Every club has dozens and dozens of examples of letting players go who go on to be more successful elsewhere. Notts obviously being no exception, but it's far too early to say if Osborne will be added to this list regardless of how impressive he's being in the league below.

For THIS season I'd rather have both Roberts and Enzio over Osborne and by some distance.

If he wanted regular football, and we couldn't give it, then it's right he moves on.
