It will be very difficult to administer, I agree...and there will be the usual attempts at fraudulent documentation. That though is only likely to apply to a minority and some sort of vaccination passport should make us all safer.

I look at it this way...by mid May my wife and I should be as fully protected as it is possible to be...if we then get on a plane/train/ferry or go to the pub/theatre/cinema/gig I expect the people who share the same air to have taken the same precautions. The only excuse, imo, being other health issues. Can see pubs and cinemas...i.e. unprebooked environments being the hardest to police.

Are my fellow posters aware that HMG has just awarded a new contract in Northern Ireland to an advertising agency for up toa max of £2M.

The brief? To organise/create Covid 19 advertising over a 2 year period starting April 1st 2020.

I've seen the theorits all over this saying "see, told ya. It aint not never gonnarend" or words to that effect.

Only seen one person (me) suggest that it might be no more than contingency planning......... the rest are all "see, told ya so".

Put the "won't vaxxers" down the mines, that's what I say. Oh, hang on, we don't have any mines any longer do we?

Definition: "A conscientious objector is an individual who has claimed the right to refuse to perform military service on the grounds of freedom of thought, conscience, or religion."

Is it so outrageously different from

Definition "An anti vaxxer is an individual who has claimed the right to refuse to be vaccinated against covid on the grounds of freedom of thought, conscience, or religion."

I think its fair to say that it aint never going to end, but that it will reach a controllable position in the same way that other flu/SARS type "plagues" have done. But yes I alos expect there is something about forward planning too, although that has not been a significant element of the "fight against covid" yet

I've not confused anything and wasn't actually referring to your view, I was just giving my opinion on the subject of the thread - hint I didn't mention you or quote your post, tbh your so opaque and contradictory with what you say, and very often wrong, ( but we will leave out those obvious past mistakes of yours, wouldn't want to embarrass you again) but often fail to recognise it, that I'm not bothered.


You can produce "experts" that seem to agree with ones point of view for anything, but those experts have made three simple errors.

1. We are already jabbing the willing as fast as the availability of the vaccine will allow.

2. We can't leave a significant pool of unvaccinated people within the population, as that poses a number of risks, including the emergence of a mutation that could renders vaccines less effective.

3. We are not talking about the unwilling, rather those unable for whatever reason.

Clearly you aren't able to appreciate that others lives and world view differ from yours, thats your problem not the people we are talking about.

Yes...one is acting in accordance with his/her conscience to avoid taking human life.

The other is acting in accordance with his/her conscience and, in so doing, may jeopardise human life.

Couldn’t get much more different.

To hark back to a comment you made to GP recently, you may now begin to understand the difference between comments within and without parentheses, ie between ‘twit’ and twit.

But enough such joshing, a story on Derbyshire Live proves you wrong on point 1. By chasing the unwilling the Burton vaccination centre came close to wasting vaccines. My ‘experts’ on (BBC News and C4) reported that on a nationwide basis and predicted it getting worse earlier today

Swale does bring forth a third dynamic which is worth considering:

The "cannot" due to medical reasons we appear agreed upon

he then splits the "will nots" into tow camps - the unwilling (which I have termed "wont's") and a new category of unable. I'm intrigued to know who falls into the camp of unable, and why anyone should be unable to have a vaccine other than on medical grounds. ive pondered this and come up with no classification of person who might be willing but unable to take the jab. be intrigued to know who such might be.
