If the club had not asked or removed any reference to questions about Oxford from the pre match conference then they would have been absolutely pelted by fans wanting to know why nothing had been said. There literally was no way of avoiding it.

I felt we'd got a proper manager at last when he did the post match interview after we'd drawn 2-2 at home to Chesterfield with the fans booing at 0-2 down and the way he handled the social media fall out between fans and players.
Anybody who thinks he should turn a job down two levels higher at a club averaging 17k last season and relatively safe needs to get real. Just be glad nobody poached him before he got us out of the NL hell hole.
I'd love to see him do well at Swansea. Top top bloke.
For all we know, he may have gone for talks after they approached Notts, who have an agreement with LW that if a Championship club asked to speak to him we would allow him to. doesn't mean it's a done & dusted thing. They are owned by investors & a lot of their fans want them out. He is 3rd choice so far. Davies declined, Ramsey from MU was outright favourite, so what happened there?
He could surprise us after talks & think nah the grass isn't always greener on the other side
