I agree. We don't want players who will need time to acclimatise and get up to speed, we don't want 'ones for the future' unless the future is immediate. We need players capable of making an impact from day one.

I don't know where you've got your info from Gump, but those three are thoroughly underwhelming if true. Bench-warmers at best and not the sort of players who will come in and make an impact. Dennis might be okay...but meh.
Add to this the Hewitt rumour and I'd worry these are not the signings of a promotion chasing team.
I agree. We have lost Langstaff, Crowley, Nemane, Didzy since the end of the 23/24 season and also Abbott from the 24/25 season.
We need five ready and raring to go players who are going to come into the starting eleven and be like Bass, Bedeau and Platt were last summer and play for 35+ games.
The difference being that the five that come in need to go into midfield and the top end of the pitch and have creativity, physicality, pace and firepower.
By no means saying I would want him, but if he had not been here before then Hewitt is the kind of player everyone would be wanting us to sign tbh.
Didn't Hewitt get absolutely roasted by clough in a match interview to the extent it was embarrassing by what clough did that day?
