That wasn't THE answer, Old, it was one of the answers and I wouldn't argue with it.
Great to see propaganda is alive and well.Perfect timing on their Russian funded political party broadcasts tonight. The success of the jab and booster rollout brilliant viewing and I must admit I've forgotten all about what that lovely mr Boris has supposed to have done ! And whatever it was he was supposed to have done was all that nasty mr Corbyns and Nasty mr Cummins fault..!
If the rank and file Tories don’t bring about his downfall, hopefully the voting public will. His ‘excuse’ was an insult to the intelligence of even the dimmest person. If he really thought it was a work event, why didn’t he send everyone home when he saw they were drinking while at work? When I worked, bringing or drinking alcohol on company premises was classed as gross misconduct, punishable by instant dismissal. I can’t drive after consuming alcohol because it is known to impair judgement, but it seems running the country is ok even if you’re pissed. Also, this party invitation went out to around 100 Tories. Didn’t just a single one of them have the decency to say “we can’t do this, it breaks our own rules”? Apparently not. The despicable scumbag at the top isn’t the only one who shat on us, this party was apparently attended by 30 to 40 others. Not one of them has come forward and admitted their guilt, not even one. This should be the subject of a police investigation and every one of them named and shamed and forced to resign.
As my mate TheBlackHorse often says, we need to clear the cesspit. This would be a bloody good start.
I agree with most of what has been said, I personally had an opinion that he was just there 'to get brexit done' and then we would have someone more credible on the world stage!
Well, forget the world stage, I am petitioning my MP, to submit a no conf letter.
I think that some of the 60 who didn't go probably weren't happy with it.
However there are still many unanswered questions.
Did Johnson know about the email? Seems highly unlikely that he didn't know about the event - and who is the 'we' referred to in the invite?
Yesterday, and every interview they are taking the 'Wait for the report' line. Yet it is reported that the first thing BJ did after PMQ was to go to the Westminster tea rooms to get his point of view over to the backbenchers.
He obviously believes he has done nothing wrong - but they do appear to have good business meetings!
At last, a bit of good news. Sue Gray will submit her report before 2024. B)
