I mentioned this earlier but I think the Tories are now going for herd immunity in England. They actually want the virus to spread around, it's the only conclusion I can land on from the latest policy decisions. It may well be right but, as you say, it is increasing the risk of problematic new variants.
The delta seems very keen to infect anyone within a few meter radius. If england get to the final BoJo will get his wish.Quote:

i get what you're all saying about keeping controls in place incase of new variants, but when does it stop? does it ever stop? based on the comments here it seems to me most would be happy to wear these masks forever, incase of new variants.

all viruses mutate over time mostly with very little change but as can be seen they mutate in a way that benefits it. ie to survive and thrive
