It was at least as bad as Ward Prowse tackle on the Chelsea lad - he was given a yellow, then urged to visit the monitor - then upgraded to a red. The ONLY time VAR has been seen to be used at ER this season was the dubious penalty awarded AGAINST us following a review against Everton, we have had stonewall pens ignored when James was flattened against West Ham and Watford, a blatant handball by Shaw at Scum and now this - and the guy was booked for handball - not the bloody foul!
Big ears paid a bit of lip service to it on MOTD last night but at the end of the day the big decisions only get called for the bigger teams. [Liverpool / Struijk, Chelsea/Ward Prowse, City/Southampton - penalty sending off - oh no, scrap that it was a fair tackle to mname a few ffs]
Never mind, silver lining Gelhardt and Somerville got extra game time, changed the game and Rapha doesn't look to be serious after all.
