I didn't listen... did he really say that??... again?!?! If nothing else, he needs to find some new excuses because that one lost all credibility for me a long time ago. I'm sure this has already been well debated on here in the recent past.

TBF in League 1, 2, and National it's been claimed we've always had a top 6 budget, guessing it was 6th ish in L1 and top 3 in 2 and National, but obviously doesn't mean everything as on that basis as we would still be in League 1 worse case.
I still back Ardley, do think he can over think it sometimes on opposition, but I think it's pretty simple he needs to get us up this season or a loss in the playoffs from a season viewed by fans/owners as very positive, but I don't think that will even suffice.
Sadly, Notts as a club are in deep decline and probably losing fans along the way. We had an average of some 5000 fans at home matches last season, I think this will dwindle and doubt it will be more than 3000 once Covid is over. I think it will take a couple of promotions to get the fans back to the 7 or 8k we had a few years ago or; we could carry on in decline and eventually become a part-time club, something has to happen to prevent this!!
I think Doyle and Reeves too, neither seem to have a problem playing all games and maintain performance. I think JOBs struggled maybe over the last 6 to 12 months, couple of bad injuries and perhaps age is catching up with him, but I then again wouldn't rule him out having a good season as he's got good character, but with 2 holding midfielders we probably need a bit more flair/speed.
So just to clarify, you saw the team sheet, you seemed ok with JoB coming back in in place of Sam, you wanted them lining up in a 433 not the 4231, but at the same time you don't like and would never play a midfield three of JoB, Reeves and Doyle?
Clear as mud if that's the case.
You presume a lot driller.
With the changes to the lineup I didn't like the look of that starting XI if keeping the 4231.
Last season I didn't like Rose, JOB and Doyle as a 3 when all fit. I would have dropped Rose as he was poor for most of the season. I commented on this throughout the season, my main criticism of Ardley was the continued selection of Rose no matter how poorly he played.
This season I don't like Reeves, JOB and Doyle in the same side, like I said earlier happy with 2 of those 3.
Hope that helps.
As you know averaging over 7000 at Meadow Lane hasn't been common. When we have it's due to 3 things, good perfomances and results on the pitch, multiple huge away followings and well advertised and successful match day offers.
Next seasons attendances (if a normal season) whatever division we are in will be very interesting.
I'm not presuming anything at all. I know that you know more about football than most fans on here, thats why I'm trying to clarify your thoughts.
It'll be useful to disprove those who think you don't actually know that much, but constantly and craftily reposition yourself to make yourself look right.
So just to clarify again, you think picking JoB, Doyle and Reeves in the same team is a mistake, but once that mistake has been made, the way to get the best out of them is by putting the three one-paced chuggers in a line across the middle, rather than having one of them behind the strikers (a role which JoB executed quite well on Saturday?
And you're happy with any two from three out of JoB, Doyle and Reeves, even though you're on BFP's thread about JoB and Doyle saying they should never be on the same pitch together?
