Right on cue ;)
Anything other to add to the point?

If you play one guy up front then I don't suppose you expect him to score goals as well.
That job is for the midfielders following him up.
It's unusual to get a target man who can do anything else.
Davie bloody Dodds was about the best example of that.
The Dundee United Davie bloody Dodds.
As far as signing folk none of us have ever heard of, folk will be happy ( for some reason) with a bid of £500,000 but will ridicule a free transfer.
It's modern fitba fans, money comes first.
I get what you’re saying and maybe that is the reason McInnes changed things a bit, however could you not have 3 attacking midfielders scoring 10 goals each plus a striker scoring 20 goals? Why does 3 midfielders scoring 10 mean you have to settle for a striker who only scores 5?
I could be wrong but I think if Cosgrive is the main striker he’ll get about 5 all season and if Rooney is main striker he’ll get 15-20. But I don’t think cosgrove is going to provide more goals for the midfielders than Rooney would.
Aye he will.
He's playing for the team, Rooney is trying to get goals.
You choose, I'd choose a goalscorer every time
I am not going into slagging but you are definitely seeing my points about not enough attacking variations in our play. The system of 4-2-3-1 needs changed if we are to be more of a threat going forward.
I definitely think Rooney is our best striker and playing him elsewhere is detriment to the team as he does nothing out wide of any significant note.
Just an opinion, but McInnes will have to change his approach in matches if we have to give ourselves a chance of winning anything as we are far to obvious now but in all honesty I think he is set in his ways to progress to the next level.
I don’t think it’s settling for a striker, but really trying something different.
If we had a striker that scored 15-20 and set up a significant number of goals for the midfielders, I doubt they would be with us for long.
It appears we’re still looking for a striker. I hear the Schalk deal is a non starter and we offered on the Doncaster boy, so maybe we will have a different option.
Having missed out on Marquis and obviously having cash to splash do we ask about the availability of Louis Moult?
What about the availability of Liam Boyce?....both are players McInnes was linked with before.
Or instead of wasting money on another striker when we already have 3 either buy a proper left back or another midfielder so Shinnie can move to left back.
It’s more of a priority than buying another striker.
