IIRC, the builders got stiffed due to admin too.

But it was the local small businesses that I felt sorry for. The building company prob had insurance in place.

After the war when football was cheap my old man used to go Tannadice one week then Dens the next. In '65 after a Finn Dossing hatrick he decided United was his only team, never set foot in that Dump until May '83.

Can't be easy having rivals that win major trophies on your own home pitch. Could definitely leave you bitter and twisted 😀

Helping their big cousins with very expensive travel and hotel arrangements when the pitch was flooded was a lovely gesture.I think getting TheAuldHunStand on the cheap must have pricked their conscience.
