correct brin, what the feck did they expect him to do on his own ? :s he has a family wife etc (well if he aint gay) and wants to get home in one piece . the only option is to film them (like the NY pitch invader) get them identified after and then arrest them at home and throw the book at them :)

Why not an expose of the same topics in, rugby, tennis, motor racing etc?

...or other public offices like NHS, the Armed Forces, the legal profession etc?

Because it's lazy journalism aimed at the middle class Guardian readers.

Football fans are seen as the enemy within by the political establishment, it didn't help that the EDL were made up of football fans being nasty about their nice fluffy Muslim friends.
