I think its unrealistic to expect the team to be altered to the extent it was primarily to tighten things up and expect free flowing goal laden games.
Charley and big Dave have definitely improved us but both are pretty much no nonsense players, just the type we need.
On the flip side I think a bit more ambition wouldn't go amiss but maybe the time to judge is after we are safe and maybe barker has the opportunity in the summer to bring in a playmaker or 2. If we are still playing boring negative football then, especially if barker gets the opportunity to trade, then that's another matter altogether.
The Rochdale game was a bit of a reality check but that seems to happen in this league. There are no stand out teams and no one that much worse or better than anyone else.

After Monday barker was starting to win me over, but not after yesterday inept boring back to the normal negative display.
Only bonus was him not wearing shorts.
Me again. Not sure who is worse, perhaps they're both as bad as each other. I certainly think I'd rather watch a game with more goals, especially if pontswise it works out the same. It remin
Connolly didn't give the impression of being a team player under Whitts, Awford or Barker so I'm glad he's gone.Quote:

Fogden said maybe they should've played more on the deck on Saturday as the pitch was better.
