I thought he was ok.
Collin took his chance well and had a few bits of good luck that Shearer didn't get.
I hope he does well at Crewe or wherever he ends up.

All the best to Scott. Iill always remember him for playing an important part in a great time in our history.
He was an 'employee' not some sort of hero, he just couldn't cut it and cost us early on. Good riddance.
Brin, not OTT,i darn't put what i really wanted to say for fear of reprisal or being carded ;-)
Yes he was an employee, who may have young family, who may read this and other boards like it, so can we all give a bit of a thought to this before we use such derogatory terms when describing our feeling towards players / ex-players please.

I thought he was a good keeper, particularly in league 2. League 1 he was a solid average keeper. I am sure he will do well at Crewe and good luck to him.
I admit I never had confidence in him from day one but I hope he does well for them
I must admit I'm surprised he's gone to a league club. Good luck to him and hope he does well.
Shearer in my opinion was a confidence player and seemed to go to pieces in particular in front of a noisy north stand when he made the inevitable mistake (like all keepers do in game) - he didnt seem to pick himself back up and looked unsteady thereafter. Maybe not a big crowd player. Perhaps a quieter more sedate atmosphere at Crewe will suit him, rather like Crawley.
Good luck to Scott, he played his part.
