re: Shame on you, Board & Davis...
There were some poor individual errors last night by each member of the back four, with Ray's misjudged header the most obvious, but once Rochdale had got to grips with the game, it was our midfield through which they were slicing.
I know every game is different, but Nolan, Turton and Grant, away in the cup game, looked like a strong, fluid combination, playing just as Steve has envisaged, going by his interviews. There was a confidence about the squad, including the substitutes.
I know that we need 'bodies' in the squad (the under 21s have a minimum of 26 fixtures to fulfil this season), so that would explain Ness's arrival, even though we have Atkinson signed as our own player. I think the way he wants the midfield to operate, without any one definite deeper midfielder, with lots of movement and interchanging, needs a lot of work, and strikes me as being pretty ambitious for this level of football. It needs understanding. Last night our back four were constantly having the ball pas

It really had to be seen to be believed last night, Somerset. If the commentary was bad, watching it was ten times worse. It was embarrassing and to hear SD say these words:
"I don't know where that result came from", really does not say much for the man. Yes, I am a fan of SD, although after our initial pressure (approx. the first 20 minutes), it was plain to see that we had stopped playing and allowed Dale back into it. It was so apparent that they would take the game by the scuff of the neck and hit us hard. I was shouting at SD (too far away for him to hear me) to take action. We could all see why this demolition had arisen, but he couldn't. Is he being honest with himself and us. I don't think he is. Either that or he d

We and esp the manager are becoming full of cliches, "It's up to me to sort this out" (Davis, every season!) "Keep calm, there's only 3 games gone"(most of us!) The fact is the management are'nt doing the job yet have had all summer to! The fans are delusional about certain players here who they hold in some high fanboy regard yet truth be told they are'nt L1 standard at all! Need fresh experienced players in key positions because this team right now won't keep us in this league, my opinion anyhow.

Is'nt Ellis injured right now anyway?

What are we just a Premiership / Championship feeder club or an actual football team with dreams and ambitions it would appear the former but where are these Premiership stars that keep us in business with our sales, over the past 15 years we must have raked in 15 million pounds although the accounts published just cloud the figures, no other club in the lower leagues have had that income and look at us a non existent defence and we rely on so called Premiership loanees but in reality they are not having no experience whatsoever at that level or in some cases no league experience why don't they wake up and smell the coffee what this club needs is investment in the first team and a team starts with a defence and a spine and we are spineless. No doubt about it with this team we will go down it is like the dark days of when we had the Chelsea assistant coach in charge absolutely clueless, gutless and soft.
If we do not get 2 defenders in before the close of the window we will be down by C

The fans were in uproar then as he kept 18 clean sheets or something the previous season. In many ways it has to be more difficult for kids to come through as pretty decent defenders rather than strikers and why presumably we brought Ellis in.
Not sure where we go from here tbh as the writing was on the wall last season and we started with a weaker squad. So how can we be surprised?
But to lose like that against Rochdale, a team we always had no problem beating in the old days is really depressing!
Too true! A 5-2 drubbing on our own patch by Rochdale, ffs,is a wake up call if ever there was one.
