I remember the Barnet game when Flashman & Fry were in tandem, hadn't lost a home game for a couple of years. We stuffed them 5-0.
So IMO 2 points, firstly if we get a non league team we've a decent chance of progressing, 2ndly the negativity on here is a bit ott.
We're not great by any means, but since when have Pompey ever done anything the easy way.
In the league we're looking every inch a mid table team.
People go on about budgets etc but that budget is spread very thinly on players signed by others, 14 or 15 players out of contract next summer gives us a real chance to clear out the dead wood & get better quality in.
Our big chance in the league is next season IMO, Awfs has signed some decent players & some not so decent. Jones looks excellent, Hollands should've been & only he can tell us why he's underperformed. What Awfs missed out on IMO was a RB & a striker who can hit the net regularly. But he's a novice so we require patience, what we definitely don't need is to keep choppi
