Great three points for the lads today, although it sounds like the Alex were second best today (honest talking from SD post match), although that does not take anything away from the way they stuck to the task, especially considering it was 10 versus 11 for the final half hour. Against Preston, Crewe will have to raise their game, as they did against the league leaders last week. They have done it before, they can do it again. A minimum of a point is indeed possible on Sunday.

That could have certainly given the wrong impression.XD X-D

I've just listened to the Oldham manager's post match comments. They need to be force-fed to Cotterill (re-Brizzle comments about 'battering' the Alex last week). Praise for Ajose's match winner and the only possible negative was use of the word 'robbery', but the stats of the game seem to support that.

And by the look of the stats, 'battered' against Oldham, yet garnered the three nice points.

BTW, how many games does Ray now miss, after a second sending-off?

In truth, am I bothered? I've rather given up on this lad, as I have on Colclough.

Ray does not have the temperament for the Alex. Let him go. Even when he plays well (I've not actually seen a game when he has consistently been OK) he makes mistakes that have been punished.

Tootle is now fit again (he was on the bench yesterday); and Tate has to be persuaded to come back on loan.
The back four should be Toots, Davis, Tate, Guthrie, Duggie, Ng ... yes I know, sums was never my strongest suit, but you know what I mean. :-)

Nev... You were not being spanked at all. I just had to delete that post of yours (and other related ones) because it included the original quote made by another poster, who was breaching the rules of this forum. As I said earlier, best not rising to the bait and remaining civil at all times. He is entitled to be negative if that is what he wants to do. I remember that many of us on here (including myself) were really down in the dumps after failing to win all of those matches at the beginning of the season.

Its not negative to say Crewe.A are weak at defending corners,its A Fact! Have you not noticed! Now teams are taking more short corners Why! work it out! If one does not raise these points how will the team improve if you live in denial.

A big shout has to go to our travelling fans yesterday. Its not often I say this but thought we were terrific. Making noise throughout the game and even in the 1st half when we were getting battered! We got what we deserved as well with that late goal to spark jubilant scenes! Great feeling. More of the same again tomorrow please.
