re: Hang on in there, Steve Davis.
Media hype again because he played there for a while. SD has come out and pretty much ruled out a move. Maybe it's because they are in the same division as us, weren't they in the Championship last time he was touted for the job or had they just been relegated?

PMSL :D
2 months ago you all would have offered to drive him.
Good Dec and Jan and Feb (so far) but why do we have to concede Aug/Sept/Oct/Nov?
Cest la vie I say.

You're saying what I'm thinking ;D
Many harping on about the fact that we've been rubbish since the JPT - and then we get a few decent results and it all seems to be forgotten.
All football fans are fickle!
C'est la vie indeed!
re: Hang on in there, Steve Davis.
Barnsley will not go for Davies as he is no where the finnished article yet! For a club to gamble on him.

Barry I think.
As long as our mid-season improvement is maintained, I think SD will be able to do better than Barnsley. A summer move to a Championship club seems feasible if he wants it. Let's hope he doesn't want it. Many clubs would have sacked him in November and maybe he takes the view that relative job security and the chance to build something here is preferable.

What was being said about our form (performances and results) from the time of the JPT final until the present crop of players started to click was absolutely true. Reasons for our abject form were also suggested (e.g. the loss of Murphy, our inspiration, the bad injuries to Pogba, our leading scorer etc.) I mentioned this very fact in the "Malaise" thread, although since before Xmas there has been a steady improvement in these two areas. I would imaging most of us were pretty sick of the way things went last season, only escaping the drop on the final day of the season and even mor

I guess this is where we differ, Mick.
As with anything in life, at the times of greatest need is when you need the best support.
Football teams (and managers!) are no different.
Oh well ... :(
re: Hang on in there, Steve Davis.
Just shows us all hey.
Some poor tactics and quality in last 2. Back to being worried now, need some special results in March. Last ditch again I reckon.
I doubt Barnsley would take even if we drove!

3 wins; 2 losses. That's life with the Alex. On Saturday, v. Swindon, SD will have the support of 4,000 of us (I hope) and will prove that, against the best sides, we can raise our game.
That said, I did take 3 Leicester fans to the MK Dons game in the fond hope that we would produce some good football. :blue:
Steve Davis continues to have my unwavering support. I certainly couldn't do a better job, and when it comes to team selection, I don't watch the training during the week, so can't pass an opinion on who is on or off form.
Safety has always - well, since October/November - been my wish, and it still is. :D
