re: Our new Irish owners.
Morning Gentleman , This ones going to happen but its between the two consortiums one from Ireland & one from Israel , Davies is taking a big cut on the debt but he was always going to.
He was never going to see his £150 plus million again lets be honest.
From what I have heard the Irish one seems the stronger lets see what happens.
re: Our new Irish owners.
What you say makes total sense, he no doubt has been paid interest at preferential rates, but if he does want to sell he is going to have to take a big hit.
One of our other posters thinks the new owners would have a 12 month pass regarding FFP. But what happens then. We would have to be in the Premier League to make it viable for any businessman in his right mind to make a go of it.
I cant see this squad being anywhere near Premier level, even if Lennon has a massive clear out/in during the summer, the new squad will take time to bed in together.
One thing is certain, its going to be an interesting summer.
re: Our new Irish owners.
Hmmmm, not sure if I believe this (whatever happened to all the rumours of a Thai buyer?) but if it does go ahead, will it be good or bad news?
For every Manchester City there's a Blackburn Rovers! :P

a very valid point, but to counter balance the argument we currently have an owner who whilst he has put money into the club, it's clear there is NO further investment forthcoming. Before we were fighting the FFP I believe we were paying 10% on our loans, and I'm sure there was something happened the previous year when we reported a £60m loss because that figure makes no sense considering how much we'd cut everything.
re: Our new Irish owners.
Still no news??
The "For every Man City there's a Blackburn Rovers" is a very valid comment. There's also a Cardiff City, a Portsmouth, Newcastle, Parma, etc, etc, etc
My only concern is being very careful what we wish for
Man City nearly got taken down by Shinawatra and were saved by the Arabs, have gained short-term success, and now there are rumblings that failure to qualify for the Champions League at the end of this season could see the plug being pulled
I'm beginning to look at Burnley's model and thinking fk it, let's settle on the fact that we'll never be a big club so accept that if we are lucky we'll bounce between the top two divisions and hopefully win something every now and again and stay solvent
re: Our new Irish owners.
