I get the impression he won't be playing for at least another month yet. He's not joining in with any of the pre-season training sessions. No-one buys a player straight after an operation when they haven't been able to prove they have recovered properly.
I don't expect Bucko to be in contention for a starting spot until mid september and the Window shuts on Sep 1.
I'd say a transfer is very unlikely based on all that.
Time to move on I fear but I love this guy..

Bucko certainly won me over as I was very unsure on him when he first arrived.
Wish we had 11 that showed the same committment to the cause as Jake, and if he leaves I wish him well.
He's now proved himself as a Championship Centre Half but lacks pace and a certain physical presence to go any further (thought a few players like Charlie Austin bullied him) but he's a great example to kids to show how you can make the most of your ability with shear determination and commitment.
Unlikely with us but I hope we don't demand too much of a fee to spoil any potential move.
Happy if he stays or goes and gets first team football elsewhere.

Bucko is a cultural architect. We really missed him last season. Do not sell; get rid of Albentosa who just doesn't have "it". :sQuote:
