re: Too disappointing
With Rhodes looking like he might exit before the window closes this will lift the embargo in January/end of the season if Shaw is telling the truth of course
stand by Gary bowyer for this season then hand the reigns over to a somebody else unless Gary takes us up

re: Too disappointing
That may well be the secondary worry ie the infrastructure at the club is, ie a far cry from the John Williams / Tom Finn days.
These guys were despatched almost gleefully, I seem to recall, and this further angered the common supporter because they could clearly see the 'value' these guys gave to the club.
Venkys seemed to think these sorts of guys were two a penny and maybe not really worth much 'consideration'.
Just thinking back makes my blood boil. I have lived a full life now and have gleaned a fair bit of experience in just makes makes an organisation tick, and in who and were people fit.
This is not bravado in any way whatsoever, but it was very clear to me within months, if not weeks the path Venkys were taking and the chasm possibly before us.
As said though this is water under the bridge now, and we are where we are.
Maybe we were over privileged in having such a great set up and is why this is so hard to take.
However there is nothing wrong with wanting something rep

re: Too disappointing
You are right sir I was born in 1980 so I cannot relate to the season in question however I can understand where you are coming from the modern supporter almost demands success we are 2 games in and rumbles of discontent are present
We are a town team and always will be we were spoilt by a dream of a local hero
for the year's that followed our win we punched above our weight now venkys have returned us to where we were
this won't sit with the modern supporter
as Ewood becomes more and more empty we are left with the fans of the memorys of pre Jack.

re: Too disappointing
Hard to disagree with the above comments, on the whole.
On the incoming players topic, I think Bobcrompton is probably right, in that GB has made several signings (under the embargo restrictions) in the hope that a couple of them come good. I was one of those who criticised the duplication, but it may be that because we can't bring in anyone who would cost anything, he has had to resort to a few gambles, knowing they won't ALL pay off. He has a mixed record with his past signings, but that is inevitable, given the tight purse-strings.
The owners' general idiocy in their first two years is obvious and well-known. Is their loyalty to Bowyer more of the same? God knows! I don't pretend to understand their motivation, intentions or reasoning.
I do thing there is a bit of double think on team-selection, though. Let's take the Cairney issue. Last season, there was lots of ranting about playing him out of position. However, the ranters ignored the matches where he played in the middle, and

re: Too disappointing
This season we had very low expectations however quite a few fans don't like the results that go along with it
to achieve let's say my prediction of 15th the results are going to be pretty mediocre
so any calls for Gary to go after losing to wolves and Shrewsbury are massively over the top if you consider the majority expected a lower end finish
a loss against huddersfield and the heat will be turned up
shame really last season yes we should of done a lot better but fluffed it however this season was going to be tough with not a pot to Piss in
so a bit of patience is required
and maybe a new defensive coach.
