GB is a nice bloke but he can't manage and doesn't learn from his mistakes.
GB now into the heady heights of thirty plus players brought into the club.
But yet he has no faith in virtually any of them.....surely he cant or he still wouldnt be bringing in player after player as he has done.
His players ..his fault.
On the other hand, Howie, how much has he actually spent during his time in charge? I'm sure someone will know, but I wouldn't have thought it could be more than 4 or 5 million. In other words, he has been operating in the bargain-basement most of the time.
Amongst the players he has signed, there has been a mixture of excellence and dross, but that is often true of managers with far more cash to splash out.
I do agree, though, that now is the time for him to settle on a core-group of about 15 players, in fixed positions, and run with that line-up. Of course, as happened last season, you can get a spate of injuries, which is when the fringe players come in, but I think he has to present himself from now on as someone with a clear plan and sense of purpose.
The trouble is, if he doesn't produce instant results, I suspect the fans will turn on him altogether, despite the fact that it takes time for a new line-up to gel.
One quality I wish he didn't have is this excessive loyalty to p
It will be very interesting if we see an improved performance defensively tomorrow
too many times we have been put under pressure and give the ball away in a crucial position which in turn we have backed off and practically let them waltz in the box
huddersfield will be licking their lips we need to address this and insure they get scraps not a feast
also Jason Lowe will he start?pretty poor against wolves and with our abundance of holding midfielders his place is surely under threat even with bowyers pro stance towards him
another thing if Duffy and Hanley pair up together on Saturday I will be pretty annoyed last season these 2 as a partnership cost us quite a few points what I saw against wolves suggests nothing has changed.

"Well Auks if its just down to individual errors for the last two seasons we must be the unluckiest side in all the divisions.
We concede for fun..did the last two-three seasons and have started off again in the same manner."
Totally agree. So what is Craig Short doing? Nearly the ONLY team last season to have 2 strikers scoring 20+ goals apiece, yet never in the play-off hunt!! One way around this might be to adopt the Mourinho method of having always at least 7 or 8 players behind the ball but make sure the central midfielders are quick enough to get about...so that excludes both Evans and Williamson,Im afraid.
