The bench behaviour

before i start yes i have constantly posted negative comments about Evans and Raynor and will continue to do so when i feel its warranted i also give positive feedback when its due


firstly derby you don't want to get tarnished as fan who knows nothing about football

i have said in the past Evans has been a success at the club no one can deny it

but he thinks his past glories have made him untouchable. last season he was given time to get adjusted to a different level of football, fast attacking passing he is punching above his weight , i constantly shout during matches Evans get back in your box. when he is gobbing incomprehensible instructions micro manangement at its worst.

the training sessions are to provide 90 % working knowledge of who does what at attacking and defending set pieces at the games with from knowledge gained from watching opponent during scouting the players have enough savvy to work out what to do

I have no idea whether the way he behaves impacts an officials decision or not, what I do know is it looks unprofessional and like a man that isn't in control of his team or his emotions. I feel very strongly about this issue, I do believe he makes our club look bad, to other fans, other managers, other clubs officials, sponsors etc. It is no way for a modern manager that is going on training courses paid for by the club to behave. I have no other comments on Raynor I wouldn't employ him to empty the bins outside the ground

From what I've seen the bench has behaved impeccably.

The two ranting loonies that sit on it though are a different matter.

Hardly a good example to youngsters in the crowd.

Honestly, this post is quite clearly so biased from people/"fans" who have a grudge against our own manager- it's crazy to read.
Was this an issue over the past 3 seasons, (which the vast majority of fans would agree were a massive success), or is it suddenyl coming to light now after we've had a dodgy start to the season?

miller maz what a load of tosh, yes this has always been an issue to me and as I state I feel very strongly, his behaviour disgraceful. If they behaved like that in the large companies I work in, showing his emotions in such an aggressive manner he would be instant dismissal, it is simply not accepted elsewhere in society so why do we accept it in football. If you read my other posts you would see I am not against evans and don't want him out or anything daft like that, I want him to grow up be a controlled professional manager and coach. Remember he himself admits he isn't the finished article and so does the club otherwise why is he taking coaching courses funded by the club. There is no logical reason for him to be shouting at players 5 mins into the game

If Rotherham were a Company he'd be with CEO responsible to the Board. I bet plenty of CEO's behave exactly the way Evans does in the business world.

P.S King Ronnie behaved almost the same way. I sat behind him at Millmoor for his whole tenure and he was very very similar.

Managers shouting at players/giving instructions/getting angry & animated, moaning at officials, happens week in, week out, at every game, at every club, at every ground all the time, that's not going to change any time soon, especially below the Premier League( if your issue is with the levels of aggression shown & language used by managers & players throughout a game, then fair enough, but that's not just a Steve Evans problem) - if Evans didn't shout instructions & show emotion, we'd hear the complaints of "he never shows any passion" "he's not bothered" "he doesn't even give them any instructions on the pitch"- the man can't win!
My point is people are picking up on this now as though it's something that is actually affecting our results or the way we play because of our poor start to the season- that's what is a load of tosh in my opinion.
I understand Evans isn't everyones cup of tea, he isn't particularly mine in all honesty, but it just seems to me that people are finding

Wow, there are some sensitive souls on here!
Evans and Raynor have behaved in the same manner at each of the clubs they have managed and I don't recall too many of our supporters complaining about their touchline behaviour throughout our club's successful years. It's just an easy thing to pick up on when things aren't going so well. It's also ludicrous to say other managers don't act similarly as football is a very passionate affair and shouldn't be compared to "normal" businesses.
Perhaps those of you that are easily offended should try watching the football instead of what is happening in our technical area. Just a thought! UTM.
