re: Maximum Points
I see the Swiss as a bit of a bogie team for us Acido but glad we did the business and surely we must win the next two too
I lie Milner and respect him a lot but he seems to lack that extra bit for England most of the time. A good honest English footballer
Shelvey is a great player and his work rate is superb but to me he shows his best at club level like Gerrard did
Kane with Walcot on the bench is awesome
Footballs coming home

re: Maximum Points
Les, no I'm not taking the ********* or am I deluded.. Shelvey was the best player imo against Marino and you can only play who your put against and yes the Swiss had obviously seen how he was spraying passes about and saw him as someone who could hurt them as he got a lot of attention and that's something he'll have to deal with in the future and I hope he does..
Milner will be missed at City this season that's for sure as he can play numerous positions and the fact they didn't want to get rid of him says it all mate..
Out of curiosity if Shelvey and Milner are so *********e then who would you play instead?

re: Maximum Points
I see what your saying Gaz about Shelvey but he's not had much time for England eh so it's early days.. just feel he will unlock defences as he's a great passer.

re: Maximum Points
You're are probably right Daz and we need players like him with his work ethic as with Milner - top blokes imo

re: Maximum Points
I seem to be at a disadvantage here discussing English football as I watch the games without the mundane comments of the presenters, thus only see what I see and not told what to think of certain players.
I didn't say Milner was *********, just an average joe, and Man City the richest club in England would have paid and played him more if he were any better.
That top team called liverpool got rid of Shelvey, that is how good he is and just because he can "spray the ball around" against part time internationals from San Marino doesn't make him world class, even an average team like the Swiss stopped him playing and players like him need room to be able to be a great passer, and low and behold as soon as he went off England scored two goals and had a better shape...coincidence? you'll probably think so :-(
In answer to your question I would play any of
Wilshire, Barkley,Carrick,Lalanna,Townsend, Delph and even Henderson before those two.
I do hope I'm proved wrong with Shelvey thoug

re: Maximum Points
lol I do have a mind of my own Les and don't rely on the commentators to tell me what to think.. Milner didn't play every week because they've got a top quality squad and there's no shame in that tbh.. I never said he was world class mate..just because a so called top team gets rid of a player it doesn't mean there no good.

re: Maximum Points
I don't have a mind of my own and rather agree with every post as I read it
