Ok, yes, he could have got us in the Prem, even bought us the FA Cup and Europe, but that is not what Crewe are about and who knows, we probably would never have seen the likes of Ashton, Powell, Westwood and Murphy (if you consider Wigan's "production line" over the last 10 years!), and I for one would have regretted that!

You signed bakoyogo to play for you, probably quite cheaply, not out of the kindness of your hearts. You didn't support him over the last two years when he wasn't playing competitive football. Nothing to get all holier than thou over. Vale have supported plenty of players through serious injuries. We even gave a player a contract who had a broken leg in order to see if he could regain his fitness, though he had to retire before playing again. To quote micky adams "He's very much part of the Port Vale family and we look after our own. That's the right way to be at a football club and certainly the way I want to manage."
