I agree with Proggs' comments absolutely.
I can see where Proggs is coming from and had the same thoughts but let's think positively, we are unbeaten and not bottom as some predicted.
If "steady if unspectacular" is interpreted as raving, then I hold my hands up!

The Hartlepool result took me back to the Scarborough game all those years ago, seen it all before!
But the point is we have had a losing mentality and we need to change that.
Maybe, just maybe, we are.
We would have lost a game like Hartlepool last season!

As for the "lost that last year" comment, well who knows and it isn't last year so no way relevant. Also, I could counter by saying "would have won that in 2008", silly really as its the NOW that counts.
Proggs is, of course, correct. It is ‘puzzling and frustrating’, but isn’t that what supporting the Alex is all about? Football itself is both those adjectives. I hope for entertainment and excitement: sometimes I’m sated, mostly I’m not.
Where this ‘poor league’ comes from is very puzzling. We’re in the lowest football league of the four, so it is, compared to the three above, poor. That’s logical. My personal belief is that we should have dropped into Div 2 three years ago instead of the ‘frustration’ of watching duff footie against better sides.
I’ll enjoy this season if I see a re-build underway. So far I am satisfied that that is happening.
