So we are to pay 2 people to do a 1 man job.
If things go tits up we have 2 contracts to pay out
Plus the assistant manager.
I'm starting to think tony Stewart is losing the plot.
Maybe he wants a yes man in charge (which warney sounds like)
Warne in charge would be horrendous has he even got any coaching badges?
I cant get my head round people who scoff at ronnie moore..they are surely in the minority..this negativity is probably down to his last stint..which wasnt as bad as it was made out..he got us to wembley and lost, so what ? We got hammered by a good chesterfield side, so what?...we're not exactly great at picking managers, and ronnie certainly hasthe best rotherham united cv of any rotherham manager..I can hear the steve evans calls now, but ronnie had no revolving door with 80 odd players to choose from...what do people want, someone with the club at heart or another gamble with another compensation package?, because theres definately no one at the club whos capable of picking a winner...
Another manager in place NOW.
Planning all things league one promotion. Creating a portfolio for every team / player wanted so we'll be the most prepared team in the league.
Warnsey to take us down and new
( existing ) manager to be made public when it's most beneficial for the club.
All very hush-hush....and very much a theory...lol
I keep saying David Cotterill - although perhaps he'd be a good signing but I saw Steve Cotterill on TV the other day and
( to my knowledge) he's just doing TV work - so why not....?
Ronnie Moore??? you must be having a laugh..... We have the fitness coach, great bloke, as the manager, assisted by Breckin who hasn't been in the game for years, maybe 10. Now we have RM, apparently offering his help. What experience has he got in the Championship recently......none, maybe 14yrs ago.
Whats this affection with the ex-millers?, i just don't get it and we don't need it....we don't need RM, we can play the long ball without him.
I would walk over hot coals or crawl over broken glass to get Ronnie back as manager. I'd shag your facking dog to get him back. Second choice Steve Evans, third choice Paul Hurst. I'm so dejected by some of the names our fans on here are throwing around. It's like Redfearn and Stubbs all over again.
The king should have been here to end of season but I think TS has issues.
Ffs get a manager in, get a manager in, get a MANAGER in
Agree with you GM and in my opinion we were down from the get go. I realise we are down. I just don't see the sense in having Warney in as manager. Sooner than later we need the new man. O would have hoped he could come in now, assess what we have and start to make plans for L1.
It doesn't make any sense to have Warney in charge and him bringing in players the new man may not want. Fairly obvious the club is in free fall and the bench showed how small our squad and therefor our options were.
My underlying fear is that we are in a worse position than we think and that Warney is the cheap route in L1 for a year or so. In a perverse way I hope Warney loses the next 6 matches on the bounce, forcing TS to do something. We shall see.
There is no logic or reason for persisting with Warney - other than cost saving. I admire his enthusiasm and commitment but I'm not even convinced about his fitness coach abilities. An excellent and loyal club man, undoubtedly, but is that enough?
Ronnie Moore should have been employed in some capacity months ago but we can all offer opinions and advice. The major problem is nothing decisive is happening anywhere at the club, there's nothing to stimulate interest, nothing to keep the waverers involved. And more and more are heading for the exits. Last week's talk was just that. It needed urgent follow-up action of some sort, any sort. But we're back to the same old... hoping that next week, next month, the next 3 months will see a spark of initiative, a sign that we've reached rock bottom and are fighting back.
Meanwhile, the king is in his counting house counting out his money...
