....if it's a quality (£....'s) cask bottle - Colner....helping it along with a spalsh of water isn't a bad idea....amongst other things, helps prolong it.

All i add are a couple of granite whiskey stones from the freezer. although a lot of people swear by a drop of water i think a good whiskey costs enough without watering it down. :) Remember though the Scottish stuff is spelt Whisky and the Irish is Whiskey.
